Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Today I'm back with you for a new article. As you know, using natural products, products found in your kitchen, is a timeless trend. To stay healthy you need to eat 5 fruits and vegetables a day, but what happens to the peels of these consumed fruits🤔? To avoid waste while getting a makeover 😌, I bring you some benefits of certain peels from our daily life for general health.

None None

Nature has everything we need for our well-being. With evolution, we are quickly replacing the so-called “archaic” tips of our grandmothers for more “modern and efficient” solutions. Are they really? Full of chemicals, these solutions are often harmful in the long term. In this article, find a natural and effective alternative with the peels of our fruits.

The banana fig

Rich in proteins, fiber, phosphorus, vitamins, minerals and iron, fig-banana facilitates intestinal transit, fights stress, helps control weight, keeps the body healthy. Fig-banana skin fights fine lines and wrinkles, hydrates the skin, controls excess fat, fights acne, eczema and psoriasis. It also brings radiance to dull skin, reduces itching linked to insect bites, and fights warts.

For hair, it nourishes, hydrates, brings shine and revitalizes dry, brittle hair.

Banana peel also helps whiten teeth. For those of you who like to drink tea or coffee regularly, a banana peel may be your ally to avoid being scolded by your dentist 😁.

The orange

A flagship icon of vitamin C, the orange is full of health benefits. Thanks to the antioxidants it contains, it protects cells from oxidative stress. It also promotes heart health, helps reduce blood pressure and bad cholesterol, protects against kidney stones, can help improve memory, strengthens the immune system, contributes to eye health to name a few 😅. The peel, prized in cooking or baking for its aroma as well as its acidity, is also suitable for the health of the skin or hair.

For the skin, it exfoliates, firms, tightens pores, fights acne and blackheads. It brightens the complexion, promotes collagen production, protects against external aggressions, helps with healing, maintains hydration, fights hyperpigmentation and keeps the skin young, fresh and radiant.

On hair, it stimulates growth, cleans, detangles, strengthens and combats skin irritation.

You will most often find the peel in the form of powder to incorporate into your masks, scrubs or in essential oil. However, you can consume it as an infusion, add it to your baths or simply make a jam 😁😋.

Pineapple

This royal-shaped tropical fruit contains an enzyme which is very beneficial to health. Bromelain has anti-inflammatory properties, so pineapple helps reduce inflammation, fight pain and relieve arthritis. It also strengthens the immune system, supports cardiovascular health and facilitates digestion. The skin benefits are just as breathtaking.

On the skin, it gently exfoliates, fights acne, helps with healing, promotes cell regeneration, evens out the complexion, controls excess sebum, softens and softens. Thanks to the antioxidants it contains, it also protects against attacks from nature.

For hair, pineapple peel soothes, hydrates, purifies, promotes growth, fights hair loss, helps define curls, softens. Enough to enhance your mane 🤩.

You can use the powder, make concoctions for your hair or skin, infuse the peels. For the exfoliating part, leave it to professionals because it is the acid of the fruit which will eliminate dead cells (a chemical exfoliation).

The onion

Yes, onions don’t just add flavor to our dishes! Well before I continue, have you ever wondered about the health benefits of onions 🤔? I assure you that, for me, it was while writing this article that I asked myself the question 😅. But hey, it's never too late to learn 😇. Onion has many health benefits. It contains vitamin C which fights against oxidative stress. It contributes to the health of gums and teeth, regulates cholesterol levels, maintains heart health, helps fight helicobacter pylori, promotes good digestion. The peelings, for their part, fight water retention, help burn fat, eliminate toxins.

For the skin, the peel of an onion can help keep it young and provide a fresh complexion. It is rich in quercetin and flavonoids, two elements that fight inflammation. It can therefore help relieve acne. In addition, it contains sulfur which is a mineral with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It also helps to regulate excess sebum, protects against external aggressions, promotes the production of collagen, helps with healing and cleanses. A real skin treat 😁!

On hair it stimulates growth, fights against hair loss, strengthens, gives shine, soothes the skin, eliminates dandruff and limits the appearance of white hair.

You can use the peels as a final water for your hair, in masks, reduce them to powder or herbal tea to benefit from the aforementioned benefits ☺️.

None None

To quote Antoine de Lavoisier, mathematician and chemist from the 18th century, “nothing is lost, everything is transformed”, certainly he was talking about his scientific theories and experiments 😅, but we can apply it to our care (hair or skin) in order to maximize our objectives (as well as our wallet 😁). Before throwing away the peelings and bark of your products, take a look on the web to make sure that they cannot be used for other purposes. Because the products you use, whether in powders, in oils (vegetable or essential), as an ingredient for your cooking/pastry, for your herbal teas/herbal teas, they may contain peels that you didn't even suspect 😅.

None None

That's all for this article, I hope you liked it and that you enjoyed discovering how to recycle your peels. Remember that to use them in your DIY, your products must be ORGANIC and that you should always consult your doctor before starting a treatment if you suffer from certain illnesses that I mentioned in this article. As usual, I am waiting for your feedback and opinions in the comments or on the blog's networks. I will see you very soon for a new article, until then, take care of yourself ❤️.

See you soon 💋
