First of all, what is vegetable butter?

Unlike cooking butter or margarine, which are made from dairy products, vegetable butter comes from part of a plant. It can be extracted from the fruit, seed, plant or pulp.

It is obtained by grinding the used part or leaving it to macerate in order to obtain a fat. This fatty material has many benefits for both the skin and the hair.

Let's discover (or rediscover) 5 plant-based butters and their benefits for our beauty.

1. Shea butter

Shea butter comes from the kernel of the shea tree. It is a fruit that is generally found in West Africa. Called “women’s gold”, shea butter contains many benefits for beauty in general. In short, a real gem for the body in general 🥰🤩.

So there, the latter is practically unknown. If you are not a DIY fan, it will be a little difficult for you to know it. You can use these butters in different ways. You can apply them directly to the skin, after having softened them in the palms of your hands. By melting them in a bain-marie, you can use them to make masks for your hair. You can also include them in your DIY recipes and formulate unique products that will enhance your beauty 🥰. Also, you can include it in your culinary recipes🤭. Yes! Some of them, like cocoa butter, mango butter and kokum butter, are also used in the kitchen 😋. So isn’t that saving money? 😁🫢 Of course, before doing this, if you are unwell, talk to your doctor.
