Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I'll see you again for a new article. Flowers are an expression of love to oneself or others. We offer them on different occasions to apologize, to please, to congratulate, to feel good or simply to decorate. They invite themselves into every corner of our lives, from our decor to our perfumes to our cosmetic products. In this article, I present to you some flowers and their contributions to our beauty routine.

Rose petals in the bathtub, a lavender scented candle, a hibiscus skin mask and a nice cup of chamomile can make for a PERFECT self-care evening. A moment for yourself that will help you recharge your batteries without too much effort. Flowers have different properties to help us achieve relaxation and peace. Nature is not selfish, it offers us everything we need, from leaves to bark, from flowers to sap, we can use almost everything. In masks, moisturizing creams, shampoos, vegetable/essential oils or tea, here are the different properties of these five (5) plants in a daily routine.

Pink

Preferred by many, the rose is a plant that has many benefits for beauty in general. In tonic lotion, oil, cream, soap or tea, rose continues to find its way into our routine.

For the skin, it helps to stay young by stimulating the production of collagen and fighting the signs of aging. It hydrates, soothes, softens, protects against the aggressions of nature, purifies and strengthens. Rose also tones, fights acne, regulates sebum production, calms redness, fights fatigue and revives the complexion.

For hair, rose stimulates growth, fights dandruff, moisturizes, protects against external aggressions, prevents white hair and adds shine.

As an infusion or tea, rose also has benefits for the body. Other than what I mentioned for skin and hair, drinking rose tea helps with better digestion, relieves cramps, detoxifies the body, fights stress and anxiety. Tea also promotes restful sleep, relieves coughs or sore throats, strengthens the immune system and boosts mood. A real gem for general health. You can use rose petals or buds to sip your drink (hot or cold) and benefit your body.

Hibiscus

Called bissap, Guinea sorrel, roselle or Choublak in our culture, the hibiscus no longer has its reputation. Although there is a wide variety, Hibiscus Sabdariffa remains the favorite for cosmetic treatments.

For the skin, it hydrates, helps with the production of collagen, firms, protects against the negative effects of the sun's rays, gives radiance and promotes cell regeneration. Hibiscus also reduces brown spots, helps heal the skin and softens it. In addition, on the body it reduces stretch marks.

For hair, it adds shine, strengthens, stimulates growth, helps define curls, nourishes, hydrates. It also helps protect hair and fight split ends.

You can also enjoy these aforementioned benefits in tea or iced drinks. In addition, hibiscus tea has diuretic properties, meaning that it helps eliminate water and mineral salts from the body through the urine. It also helps maintain good cholesterol levels, reduce blood pressure, lose weight and strengthen the body in general. If you are tired or lacking motivation, a good cup of tea will help you alleviate them. Basically, hibiscus is a powerful ally for the health of the body, provided of course that it is consumed in moderation.

Chamomile

Often used in tea for its relaxing properties, chamomile has been recognized since ancient times. This flower, similar to daisies, also has benefits for the skin and hair.

In cosmetic products it is the ideal ally for sensitive skin. Chamomile fights acne, treats psoriasis, rosacea and eczema. It soothes, softens, gives radiance, reduces pigment spots. If you have dull and tired skin, turn to chamomile to solve this problem. Although it is suitable for sensitive skin, you may have allergic reactions if the concentration is higher than normal, so be careful.

On the hair, it lightens, soothes scalp irritations, brings shine, strengthens, nourishes and strengthens. Chamomile also helps hair growth by activating blood circulation.

A good cup of tea will help you relax, combat depression, promote a good night's sleep, and relieve stress. The infusion also helps to have better digestion, it relieves cramps, bloating and other discomforts of the digestive system. Tea fights certain ailments such as stomach aches, headaches, ulcers, colds, hemorrhoids, diarrhea. You have understood, chamomile answers practically everything. However, if you have health concerns related to blood clotting and/or you are taking medications such as heparin, avoid it.

Magnolia is used in traditional Chinese medicine for its soothing and relaxing properties. In addition to its beauty and exquisite scent, it has unsuspected beauty benefits.

For the skin, it has anti-inflammatory properties, meaning it helps fight acne, it also fights hyperpigmentation and soothes irritation. Thanks to its antioxidants, it protects the skin against external aggressions as well as the harmful effects of UV rays and prevents premature aging. It therefore promotes the production of collagen, maintains the elasticity of the skin and helps to stay young while brightening the complexion, which is why it is very popular in anti-aging products.

For the mane, magnolia hydrates, adds shine, repairs, softens, protects and promotes growth.

As a tea or infusion, it soothes the body, reduces stress levels, promotes sleep, helps digestion, fights pain, clears the respiratory tract. A cup of magnolia tea can reduce your headaches, reduce anxiety, chase away depression or even cure fever. A perfect combo for your body👌🏾!
