Recently I watched a documentary and the impact of the products we consume, it led me to dive my head more into the trash (because yes I was already diving it there for my tips 🤪😂). Hence the article that I am bringing you today on the cores of our lawyers. Sit back and discover how this ingredient that you instinctively throw in the trash can be an ally for beauty and health in general.

We all know the benefits of avocado and its oil made from the flesh of the fruit. Due to its richness in vitamins and nutrients, it facilitates digestion, improves intestinal transit, regulates cholesterol levels, contributes to cardiovascular health, fights inflammation, stabilizes sugar levels, nourishes the skin, prevents signs of aging, repairs damage caused by the sun, to name just a few. The core has practically these same virtues and more.  Indeed, according to some followers, it is even more powerful than flesh and therefore has more health properties. In salads, in juices/smoothies, in scrubs or even in our cosmetic products, the kernel is an ingredient to reconsider. 

For health

As I already mentioned above, the pit has almost the same properties as the avocado. It is rich in fiber, so it contributes to better digestion and balance in intestinal transit. It also contains phytosterols on one side which reduce bad cholesterol and oleic acid on the other which increases the good one. Thanks to its amino acids it fights cardiovascular diseases. It treats high blood pressure, relieves muscle and joint pain, it is also an excellent anti-inflammatory. It fights bacterial infections. It has aphrodisiac properties. In short, a real combo for the ailments of life 😃, according to some sources, the nucleus even helps prevent and inhibit cancer cells, but this has not been scientifically proven.

For the skin

For the skin, it exfoliates, helps in the formation of collagen, hydrates. It has antioxidants, so it protects against external aggressions while keeping the skin young. It fights hyperpigmentation, acne, breakouts and boils. It brings radiance to the complexion and softens the skin.

Avocado kernel softens hair, fights breakage, hydrates, regulates sebum production. It fights dandruff, promotes growth, brings shine, strengthens and gives volume.

How to use avocado pit?

To benefit from the benefits, you can use the kernel in different ways. The most common way is powder. You grate your avocado stones after removing the brown skin covering them, dry them in the sun then grind them into a fine powder. You can incorporate this powder into your smoothies, juices, salads or even your masks, scrubs or soaps.

Another way to use it is to extract the oil or make a macerate. You dry the kernel then using a press, you press to obtain the oil. You filter this oil to remove residue and leave it for a few days before use. For the macerate, you heat the powder over low heat with the vegetable oil of your choice until you obtain a reddish color. Then, filter and store away from humidity.

You can also use the grated core in your salads, as condiments or in your infusions. Finally you can massage your arch with the dried kernel to relieve foot pain.

In short, the avocado pit is a gold mine for both health and beauty. Consuming it means providing more nutrients and minerals to the body. Just keep in mind that you should consume it in moderation because it has tannins that can make you constipated. Whether the tips are natural or not, remember that excess of anything is harmful! Also favor young cores over mature ones.
